Bloody Supermarkets!
July 24, 2007 3:24 PMI went grocery shopping the other day and the total bill came to…1,118.12 baht! I nearly fainted when I heard how much it was for the 11 items I bought! What is the world coming to???
Well okay, maybe I shouldn’t have bought that block of cheese for 210.50 baht…and come to think of it, I guess I didn’t really NEED that imported instant yakisoba for 99 baht. But I really couldn’t resist the Japanese soup mix for 71 baht/box, especially since it was on 50% discount! (And there are 3 packets to a box so that roughly averages 20+baht each…not bad for a bowl of soup.) So…3 boxes of that, and…*examines receipt* what is this I bought for 137.75 baht??? Oh, the salmon sashimi…yes, now I remember…the pack of sashimi came without wasabi or shoyu, just pieces of fresh salmon on a bed of lettuce. And if you wanted wasabi and shoyu with your fish, it was 3 baht extra per packet. What the hell…??? How can you sell sashimi without the sauce?!? At least give the customers a packet of each and if they want more, then sell the extra ones! *sigh* Supermarkets nowadays are so money-hungry it’s not funny. And I’m still mad about that box of lasagna that set me back 175 baht from bloody Homework! I swear, I’m never eating anything from that place again! A tiny piece of lasagna for 175 baht and it wasn’t even good! *fumes*
*Eyes receipt* Wait a minute…what’s this for 142 baht?? OH MY GOODNESS, they charged me full price for one of the Japanese soup mix! Okay, now I am REALLY mad! I GOT CHEATED BY EMPORIUM!!!
